I loved it! It's always a great week when I stumble onto a new author and search for all of their stories. Although I enjoy the spanking kink, I was relieved they didn't go through with it - it would have been too intensely like emotional/physical punishiment/domestic discipline. You did the right thing by keeping that out of it and keeping it emotionally raw. (Spanking should be for fun!)

Oh my goodness. *happy sigh* Thanks for the link to this (I have a lot to catch up on!). The extreme love and devotion to Clark that Lex has is so beautifully displayed here. And, Clark is perfectly written...his difficulty with trust, his unwillingness to cause pain, and the strength of emotion...amazing. I really enjoyed reading this.

I really have been lax in commenting lately. *winces* I just posted about it, in fact, because there have been a few people concerned about my absense.
Things should be a bit calmer now for me, but my husband left yesterday (he's got a year long deployment in Iraq, and they had him leave earlier than we thought he would have to go for some training), so I've been trying to prepare everything for that, and help my girls deal with it.
It's all okay, though. :-)

Stopping just inside the door, Clark turned and rasped out his final words, a tear glistening on one cheek in the eerie light of the room. "All you've ever wanted was my secrets, Lex. You could have had so much more. Now you only have your pieces of me. I hope they'll be enough."

Absolutley gut-wrenching. I really "felt" the angst in this part!

There's something about this line or thought. It's supposed to be sarcastic but somehow I find it rather endearing.

Aw, when both Clark and Lex play their game together, something would be expected to happen. I liked that you selected ‘the room’ incident to be some scene in this—and Clark came back! Glad to see that they finally came to understanding. Wonderful!
