Fic Status Update

I'm probably going to be sort of quiet for the next week or so, still cruising my flist but no new fic posts. Friday I drive Gary to Toronto for his birthday celebration - we see Cirque du Soleil Saturday night, and then drive back Sunday so those days are essentially a bust for writing. Maybe. *grin*

I'm currently scooting along on Zero Effects, my CLFF22 entry due the 10th - I'm going to really try to get it in on time, but... It would be great if I did because I'd definitely hit the 400,000 words in one year goal I was trying for - on 9/9 it will be one year since I posted my first fic. I have to say, though, that bouncing ideas and meshing scenes with morganichele has left me totally and completely spoiled. *sigh*

I'm also beta'ing an incredibly long fic and will be writing up 3 DVD commentaries and my absolut_lex challenge entry and...oh, yeah that little piece I'm getting poked about Another Time And Another Place - Book Two. *grin* Hey, and "old_school_clex has a Halloween challenge that has one of the prompts I submitted so I think maybe I better hit that one, too.

Whew!

Quiet, does not equal idle.

I've got a week off at the end of September so I am going to use that to attack a load of my fics that need doing.

Must stop signing up for challenges!

One of the reasons I don't sign up for challenges (even if I could find them) is that I truly *don't* have time to do them justice, and then I'd just feel bad. I'm amazed I've managed to write the volume I've written in the past 3 months!

I'll be here waiting patiently for the good stuff whenever you post.

I keep saying I'm going to stay away from challenges for a while, but I really want to encourage people to hold the challenges and to write, so away I go to sign up for another one. I haven't missed one yet, although it's been touch and go sometimes.

The worst part about challenges is the posting delays. I am a feedback whore and want it out--Now! *rolls eyes at self*

I love being busy like this because it's the good kind now that Gary's feeling so much better.

I'm really looking forward to the show - the last one we saw was La Nouba at Disney in Florida and that was about 10 years ago. It was incredible! :-D
