I've taken to not listening to music, not watching TV or movies, limiting books and still the bunnies are making like, well, bunnies, and multiplying. The latest was my daughter [livejournal.com profile] vespa331's fault because she's a Justice League fan and told me about an episode that I had to watch for the sheer slashiness of it, not to mention some amusing dialogue.

I was watching, waiting for the promised Lex appearance (don't blink, you'll miss it) and instead got Vandal Savage and Supes. But that's OK, as I typed in my notes I just substituted Lex for Vandal, and then I was in my happy place.

Superman falling in love with his arch-nemesis 30,000 years in the future, the last two people left on Earth under a red sun. *sigh*

No! I'm not writing that one! Not yet anyway.

*walks away counting the number of current WIPs and partially plotted bunnies and whacking self upside the head*

*grin*

I envy your amazing ability to come up with plot bunnies! I wish I could get going on something new, but I got nothin.'

Lex's appearance at the memorial service was very telling. Of course, when Clark reappeared it was all back to business as usual. (I have a coda to "Hereafter" -- http://www.kyanoswolf.com/fandoms/returning.htm )

But the whole Vandal Savage bit is about as slashy as it gets. Alone at the end of the world together...

I don't think any Smallville fan has ever watched "Hereafter" and not silently replaced Savage with Lex *g*

I had this plotbunny too when I first watched it.

Ok, so the Lex scene was tiny, but it was jampacked with awesome! Marcelo wrote a great, though non-slashy, story about Hereafter here http://users.livejournal.com/__marcelo/280229.html

Sadly, second season is low on great Lex. Juuuuust in case you want to dig up some good stuff while I'm gone, try Injustice for All (S1) and The Great Brain Robbery (S5). Ah yes, and I haven't seen it yet but I heard that Superman vs. Doomsday was dirty slashy. And I do mean dirty.
From Marcelo: Luthor: So gay for Superman there was no sub to the text. At all. I mean it. No subtext. Just bare-chested, "who's your daddy" lusthatelonging. Also, badass. http://users.livejournal.com/__marcelo/337843.html
From http://livingbetweenwednesdays.blogspot.com/2007/09/this-weeks-haul-sexiest-week-ever.html#links
Also, it was very, very gay. And by 'gay,' I mean 'homoerotic.' And not in a good way. In the way that Lex Luthor makes a Superman clone specifically so he can take his frustrations out on him. He beats him around while wearing Kryptonite gloves and no shirt, yelling things like "Why did you leave me?!" Then he straddles him, leans in so their faces are an inch apart, and says, I swear to God, "Who's your daddy?" And I fell out of my chair. It's messed right up.

You also might be able to make a good story out of For The Man Who Has Everything (S3) by switching Lex for Bruce. Victoria_Wayne posted scans of the original comic here http://victoria-wayne.livejournal.com/125934.html

Flash and Substance (S5) has nothing to do with Lex, but it's hilarious and, ya know, has Micheal. sort of.

Oh, and just in case you get confused - JLAnimated has 5 seasons. The first 2 are JLAnimated, the last 3 are Justice League Unlimited. In JLU they expanded the cast and shortened most stories to one episode, whereas most JLAnimated stories are two eps. In general though, the first season of JLU is called Season 3, and some people will refer to all 5 seasons as either JLAnimated or JLU.

The more you know!
