Ack! Eye doctor appointment

On top of being home sick all week, I now have to drag myself into the eye clinic for my visual field and checkup, which means that I'll be jittering around for hours unable to use my computer or read unless it's in 48 point fonts. I can't cancel because it took me three months for this appointment because I had to cancel because of Gary's accident.

I hate getting my eyes dilated. I wanted to be able to put up a new chapter for Do You Believe In Magic? tonight. Thanks goodness morganichele is being very patient with my imitation of a tortoise.

On the other hand...new glasses!

I hate getting my eyes dilated, too. But, worse than that, for me, is the 'puff of air' test. That drives me bananas. Strangely enough, I can live with them numbing my eye with these awful stinging eyedrops and poking around at my eye with some weird computer pen, but the puff of air make me whine like a 2 year old. lol

Back and blurry. I'll have to read everything 10 times to make sure it says what I think it does. :-D

The air puff isn't bad for me, it the special refraction they do for my retinas that leaves me seeing spots for hours that I really hate. :-P

I've never had to have my eyes dilated, but I HATE the glaucoma test. :P Always takes forever to do it because I flinch before the eye doctor even does anything. :P

I am used to having them do all the tests I stopped flinching a long time ago. I have to go in every six months because of a medication I take. Old hat, old bat, I'm afraid. :-D

Yeah, made it through OK, was practically blind all evening. And surprisingly enough, no new prescription. That hasn't happened in years! Looking forward to writing tonight when I'm done working. Even my sinus infection is improving. Thanks for asking! :-D
