So, anyway. I knew it was unrealistic, but I still thought I'd do a little better than I have so far.

In fact, 5950 words in 2 days is not even close to my personal best. In order to make this happen, I'd need to write...

*whips out Excel spreadsheet*

...1450 words per hour over the next 40 hours to make it work, that's...

*punches in another formula*

...23 words a minute or 1 word every two seconds.

That proves it - mathematical and physical impossibility.

Why didn't I do that two days ago? *rolls eyes at lazy stats geek self*

Anyone got a time machine or personal stasis chamber they're not using and I can borrow?

Yeah, I didn't think so. Selfish gits.

Hell, I'm happy if I get *one* finished and posted, so the fact that I got probably 5 or so out this past year is amazing.

Considering the decade-long dry spell, anyway.

You are my personal hero for the sheer volume AND quality of the writing you put out. I mean, there's a lot of it, but it's all good! That's just awesome.

Oh, don't be so hard on yourself. You written such brilliant stuff this year it really shouldn't matter how many actual words are on the page.

It doesn't matter a whole lot, which is why it was so easy to back off on the numbers for the year. :-D It does, however, provide a way to measure my progress and is one of the ways I stay motivated. Not the most important motivation - because that comes from my readers. :-D
