Notes: I enjoyed researching the Regency period, its history, its clothing and its use of the English language. I felt very fortunate in finding the very real Saffron Walden with all of its history, unique crops and a castle! The time frames for some inventions as well as military and political history has sometimes been adjusted to better fit the events of the story, but usually by just a few months or years. There is a glossary at the end.

Many thanks to ladydey and magdelena1969 for looking at the storyline and keeping me going and my husband who loves to look at maps. He was quite happy to research locations for me on his laptop as I typed on mine. He is also my truest beta, always demanding my best effort. What an anniversary!

I should know by now we don't do conventional.

Leaving Rochester, NY to go to Toledo, OH for anniversary weekend is odd.

Going to the zoo in 40 degree weather is odd.

Winning fanfic challenge is different.

Going out to fabulous French restaurant and drinking bottle of Veuve Cliquot while dining on rack of lamb and duck salad is relatively ordinary.

Making the restaurant owner laugh when we told her where we were from and why we were in Toledo, different.

Tomorrow we do ordinary again and visit the art museum before returning home.

All in all, a good weekend despite needing to thaw out after the zoo. :-D
