Writing Update - Can we say slug?

Yes, I thought we could, because there's one sitting in my chair. *sigh*

Just...uninspired. Not even a song!fic teasing me right now. Oh, I'm writing little bits here and there on my challenges and did a couple of banners and have been beta'ing, but nothing significant. Haven't even wanted to make icons.

I've been trying to move forward on the WIPs, too. I feel VERY guilty about Nothing But Air - I won't be putting myself up for bid again because it's taking me so freaking long to finish it, although I will. The problem is there's obviously something wrong/missing with the plot that hasn't worked itself out in the back of my mind, the same with The Kent Identity. I know it should be simple - they're remixes - but I do try to make sure they're CLex remixes with a twist, so not that simple at all. I know I'm going to wake up one morning and the pieces will be there, I'm just getting ticked off that it hasn't happened yet.

Something positive...need to find something positive...my voice! It's slowly coming back. Still cracks and fades out, but getting there. Gary being gone the last 3 days has left me with no reason to talk to anyone, so it's gotten a lot of rest, even though the rest of me hasn't :-D

There! That was positive!

Now I'll go and write some more. *nods head confidently*

I was wondering how you were doing! I am sorry that you've been uninspired to write, but I'll be patiently waiting for your updates. I do have your extensive archives to keep me occupied and go back and read some of my favorites. *thwacks herself in the head* What am I saying? They are all my favorites. I am glad to hear that you are writing little bits, it encourages me to think that you're still plodding a long.

Glad to hear that your voice is coming back slowly but surely. *hugs* Just so you know, I'll be here when you post your next chapters or new story. Let's hunt you up some plot bunnies eh? Maybe they are hiding under your bed, frolicking with the dust bunnies? Here bunnies, here bunnies, come out and play with your friend :)

I don't suffer from lack of bunnies, just the energy to play with them. :-D It'll get better.

Hey, I haven't felt like writing in more than a month. I'll get inspired, but it disappears very quickly. You have my sympathy and empathy. *hugs*

I think there's something in the air that's causing a lack of inspiration. I've been totally blah about writing, though I am cracking the whip at my original bunnies to see if they'll hop.

If I remember right, spring seems to be an iffy time for the Muses.

I'm glad you're voice came back, even if it's just a little bit. :D

I'm sure you're right about the time of year - I've noticed a definite drop in stories now that the weather is tempting everyone outdoors. :-D

this isn't meant to mock your pain or anything, but i find it heartening that you're human enough to have bouts of writer's block. I was starting to wonder if you were some kind of incredible writing construct the way you were always working on a fic, and the sheer amount of good stuff you churn out. I get writers' block about every month, so i was jealous.

I have faith you'll come out with product you're proud of for the rest of those aforementioned stories. You always do. I know i'll be here when they're posted!

glad your voice is better! Maybe the block is cuz your body is using the brain reserves to work on that? If so, that's more important for now.

All too human, I'm afraid. :-D I'm considering it a plus if I write more than 1-2 paragraphs a day lately. I know it'll hit all of a sudden especially with deadlines approaching rapidly. *rolls eyes at stubborn muses*

One of the reasons I enjoy your remixes so much is because they AREN'T just the same story with the names changed. I can see why what you do with them takes extra thought--and it's certainly appreciated! ;)
