LJ lost my first comment in limbo. i told you how much i liked the story, the balance of the being late and being early, the compact way clark said so much merely by telling lex he'd flown. clark looking up at the plane in order not to see lex leave him again was so poignant. nice work!

This story emcompassed so much emotion with so few words. Clark's uncertainty and angst was beautiful and much more poignant because until that last sentence we aren't sure if Lex has given up on him for good or not.

I liked this one an awful lot.

I almost forgot that you don't write unhappy endings. I kept sniffling "poor Clark!!!" almost afraid to read the end. I'd say you were being evil if it wasn't the perfect way to wrap up the story. :P
