I think that even at eighteen I wouldn’t have enjoyed it, it’s the combination of being on red K and the fact that it was their first time that I didn’t like. And that it’s a short one shot story. I would have needed more before and after story to make sense of the main event. Btw, even if it doesn’t change anything for me, I think that if you followed SV timeline, Clark should be seventeen in you story, no?

Because we're not sure of Clark's chosen birthday (and I've read a lot of meta on his age), I treated it as 16, just short of seventeen. I wanted to make it even later in the series, but then it was post-Shattered, unless I made it AU and.... If I'd let myself get dragged into too much backstory on what was supposed to be a simple PWP I'd never post.

The RedK and first time was why I made it Clark convincing Lex and a 'mild' RedK reaction. It was easy (or should have been) to tell that Clark would have stopped if Lex had insisted.

Basically, I understand your objection, and I do try to be careful, even when I choose to go ahead and write it anyway. :-/

You should definitely not doubt about posting a story because I and possibly others people might not enjoy it. Plenty of people enjoy it and I’m sure you did have a great time writing it, which is the most important thing. ;-)
