I loved it. I love this, in particular:
John can't let him finish. "Don't you understand? It's not what I might lose that's important...not unless it's losing you."
It just...made me melt. *sighs* And, Rodney is so brave. I need to learn more about the character, but him overcoming his phobias in the face of the situation was really lovely. And, I love that John recognized it and thought so, too.
And, the picture? That's beautiful. Really lovely. I love the expression on his face, and the lighting...it's just amazing.
Your talent for creating a story, both in word and picture, never ceases to astound me. *hugs*

They're hard to resist once you've read some of the great fic out there. Their personal trials and tribulations are different from CLex, so it's fun to explore them for a change.

Rodney is such a wonderful character, filled with contradictions, yet I find myself drawn to John's POV more often - just as Lex is usually my choice in CLex. Still, they're both great.

That was lovely - I wasn't sure at first if they were already together or not, but I love seeing this through John's eyes. And really - isn't it about time people stop being surprised by Rodney's courage? I totally agree. Lovely,lyrical writing - I loved it!

Asleep within seconds, Rodney lies unmoving inside the circle of John's arms, while John stares up into the night and waits for the memory of deep, dark earth to fade beneath the soft brush of Rodney's breath.
