This is so lovely and sweet. Clark being so shy and uncertain and Lex unintentionally (at first LOL) turning his world upside down.

I've always wondered how Clark would train himself to delicate and graceful movements he would need as a flying superhero, aside from the discipline and practice in doing farm work. Dancing is a great idea! (One could only wish that they'd apply this sort of thinking in the show... :D)

That beautiful dancing scene reminded me of Clark's open-mouthed admiration of Lex and Heike while they were fencing in the Pilot. :D Lex being in a role of teaching Clark is always fun.

Believe it or not, she just sent me the story yesterday and asked for help with the dance scenes and it grew and took on a life of its own from there. Total surprise!

morganichele wrote a fairly complete, short story and asked for help adding in dance scenes. I made suggestions to extend it and sent it back, she said go for it and in a few hours we had part one up and ready to go. I propose scenes, she writes them and sends them back and I fill in dance and back story and send it back and so on. Hopefully, you won't be able to tell who wrote what parts, because we're mixing the pieces pretty closely and trying to keep a consistent voice. :-D

Interesting, to see a story written by the two of you together. Great start. Poor Clark was really nice accepting his parents' suggestion and forcing himself to go to those dance lessons. I hope it pays off for him in the end!

A cameo? Gee, I hadn't thought of it but I guess the woman who helped Clark before Lex took over was sort of an incarnation of me! I certainly took a lot of the studio dynamics from the one I've been with for years... I hope that doesn't make it a Mary Sue or at least a very tiny one. Just writing what I know. :-D

i could do with some of that. I was a really uncoordinated kid, and i never got that self-image totally out of my head. i seldom even try to dance, as I get so self conscious that i work myself right back into that clumsy mental state. And then of course i start to feel like an idiot, so i've never tried to really learn. When I watch people ballrooming, i sit there and just wish...

ah well. maybe someday. it looks like fun...not to mention helpful in developing some coordination and grace.

Eleven plus years of lessons with my darling husband and many competitions, all the experience I used for the story. Unfortunately, my health has relegated me to the sidelines for almost a year now, but I keep hoping I'll make it back out on the floor some day. :-D
