The Words - They Are Missing
Feb. 2nd, 2007 06:25 pmI replied to a comment last night saying my Muse was tap dancing, but that I hoped she'd settle down soon. Well, the misbegotten brat is bouncing on the couch next to me and singing selections from ABBA's Greatest Hits - OFF KEY! To make matters worse, she has garlic breath and is wearing puce. I'm doomed.
Positives, I know there are some positives. Let's see, my husband flew to British Columbia this morning to go CAT skiing with his buddies and won't be back until late Weds. night. Daughter is in DC, so I have the place to myself. I'm working from home until he's back so I don't have to get out of my pajamas for the next 5 days.
So, I should be writing up a storm, right? Bzzzt, wrong answer, thanks for playing, here's your lovely consolation prize - about 40 fics added to my rec lists. I'm reading instead of writing. Aaargh!
OK, I'm handing that dad-blamed Muse a toothbrush and pale blue flannel jammies, followed up by a ball gag if she doesn't stop singing. A glass of wine should take care of the bouncing, provided the ball gag hasn't been deployed.
help me *whimper*
