I need to read something extremely cheerful now that I've posted the Darkness recs. I could deal with them on a one-by-one basis as I was dumping them on the list, but I was bawling when it came time to alphabetize them as I remembered the sheer beauty of the words that ripped my heart out.

What does it say about this fandom that it was the longest list so far? And I'm sure I'll add more.

What does that say about *me* that I have so many collected?

I'm hoping the humor list beats it out. *blink*

i hope so, too. i like funny. but i've probably read many of the wrenching ones and felt hurt by them. it's harder, actually, to suspend disbelief for a happy ending than for a sad one, since that's the way canon goes.

Humor should beat it out, at least I hope. Also, I am trying to make a recs list not on lj, though I think that I could make the lists all on my own I am also working for existing lists. I want to credit those who have done the work, so how would you like to be credited?

Well, I have only written one humor piece of all the whopping four things I've posted...

*shameful blush*

But, Laundry Emergency doesn't try to be anything more than it is: just fluffy silliness and Clark in his boxers.

What else can you ask for for lighthearted fun?

It's just silly...

Really? It wasn't really Clex until I edited it recently and added the bit at the end about the luthor mansion being next...

I love your rec lists so thanks for including it.

Laundry Emergency is Clexy now, so read the update and see what you think.

As far as Subject is concerned:

Hee...

Yeah, well. It's close to being done and if any story deserves to go on your "What an Ordeal" list, that one does...

*grins and winks*

Poor Clark.

Thanks...

*grins*

Yeah, I didn't have the clex in there to begin with. I think it really lacked without it, even a really short story like that can get a lift with some Clex.

It says that you are AMAZING to have taken the time to put these lists together.
I'm enjoying them everyday although I'm completely overwhelmed with the amount of reading I have to do.
Thank you so very much!!

HUGS!

I don't think that it says anything bad about you or the fandom that there is so many sad fic out there. (After all, sad fic many times leads to comfort fic.) I think a lot of people find it easier to write dark stuff. Plus there's the whole idea that writing dark fic makes you more of a 'real' writer. At least that seems to be the case in my other fandoms.

This may be coz I'm new to the fandom, but I find Smallville fic a LOT less depressing than my other fandoms. Stuff might be dark, but there is also a lot of humor in it. It might be one liners, but it makes the writing work.

I really love your lists. They're showing me so many different writers that I never would have found myself.

I know this fic made it on another list, but I ADORE it. Two days later, I was still snickering over parts of it. The descriptions are just so vivid and funny. My coworkers thought I'd had finally gone crazy. So it's my suggestion for the humor fic list. Fetish
