Fic Status Update

The flist has been quiet the last few days (week?) and I hope it's because everyone is out there typing away for the challenges. :-D

Quiet is good (but boring when I need some downtime) because it means I'm writing instead of reading. After a massive amount of research and straightening out my timeline, I finally starting writing the second Harlequin this morning. Almost 5000 words today and I'm now on my way to bed to dream about my Clark and Lex being historically romantic.

It's going to be questionable whether I get it done it time, but I'm doing my darndest and my wrists are testifying to that right now. Let's see 4 days x 4000 + 5000 = 21,000 words by midnight 3/21. Gonna be close...

dude, I've got the CLFF on the 24th and am buggin cuz it's freaking huge, nearly 17,000 words, and yes, I had to ice my damn elbow yesterday and take a break.

Am very pleased to write for a wider audience.

Thanks! I actually managed about 5 hours of sleep last night (husband out of town - sigh) and woke up with lots of scenes to jot down. Can't wait to see your monster! :-D

I'm only nuts if the stories weren't worth the time I spent on them. Right? Actually, I love Clark but I *get* Lex. It's all about obsession and mine is writing and reading CLex. ;-D

I know, I take breaks every 20 minutes or so and do something else. My problem is I'm so emphatic when writing. My co-workers say they can hearing me typing across the office, even with soft touch keyboards. What can I say, I get into it, whether I'm typing tech manuals or fic. :-D

No distractions, that's the key. I am alone here, since Friday morning and until late tonight. No daughter, no husband demanding attention (greedy man) and no car to escape out into the world (not that I would - it's cold out there!) and no chores except a few loads of laundry. It's just me and my laptop sitting in my writing corner . I'm spoiled. :-D
