Gary's off skiing, of course, so I have a busy day planned.

1. Wash the dishes (left from lovely birthday dinner last night)
2. Stay away from remaining birthday cheesecake (plain that Gary covered with bittersweet chocolate flavored with Grand Marnier and decorated with fresh strawberries - sinfully decadent)
3. Laundry
4. See #2
5. Finish and post next piece of Helix - about halfway done
6. See #2
7. Sort screencaps for next set of manips
8. See #2
9. Work on 3 beta requests
10. See #2
11. Poke at The Kent Identity and maybe write some of it
12. See #2
13. Poke at Nothing But Air and maybe write some of it
12. Say the heck with #2 and stay away from scale instead for the next three days

Bodily fluids

Maybe it's because I have had medical training in the distant past, but this is just so wrong. I don't care how many other stories have it that way, or how many online references can't make up their mind. They are body fluids.

If you send me a story to beta with bodily fluids in it, I will be very unhappy.

You are also allowed one - just one - revel, and absolutely no instances of ensconce.

And look up the meaning of implode before you use it. Please.

*shudder*

ETA: This was occasioned by a story I was reading in the SGA fandom. Everyone I'm currently performing beta work for is safe - but you've been warned. *grin*

ETA2: It's as simple as this: they're fluids found in or issuing from a body, not fluids found in or issuing from a bodily.

In between trying to get Unforgiven finished so that I can get my brain back to The Kent Identity, I've been watching and taking notes on Tequila Sunrise. That's a definite for [livejournal.com profile] ladydey and I hope she'll forgive me if I can't finish it by 2/29 if the muses are uncooperative. I'm certainly going to try. It'll likely please some of the Clark/Bruce fans out there, too. :-D

The Lake House arrived from NetFlix and that's another movie that's been requested more than once - [livejournal.com profile] touchstoneaf nailed it down with her prompt when she left the 10,000 comment on my LJ. I'll probably watch that this weekend.

Somewhere in there I actually worked at a job, too. You know, that thing that pays me to be a writer in my time off. I really hate taking time from writing to *work*. :-P

Oh yeah, I've been having fun with beta stuff, too. *grin*

Gakked from [livejournal.com profile] hils When you see this, post a little weensy excerpt from as many random works-in-progress as you can find lying around. Who knows? Maybe inspiration will burst forth and do something, um, inspiration-y.

Considering my rate of output, I'm not sure I'm looking for inspiration as much as time to write it all. :-P

I have 41 plot bunnies set up with outlines, not necessarily containing 'excerpts' but these are the ones I'm excited about getting to work on:

WIPS and Bunnies )

Anyone interested in co-writing? You have to be fast and able to take direction and I compile the story from the sections we write separately. When I get going I'm a steamroller and a hard taskmaster - ask [livejournal.com profile] morganichele *grin*
