I'm behind this 100 percent.

I left a comment on [livejournal.com profile] news saying I would not be purchasing two permanent accounts because I felt so strongly about what had been done. That $300.00 will now be going to the charities endorsed at [livejournal.com profile] fandom_gives.

I never considered the cost of the permanent account as saving me money, I just believe in giving back when something has given me joy. Children are a joy. I'm giving back.

ETA: I've donated $100 each to RAINN, ECU,PCA.

*claps hands*. I think that's a good decision. LJ should be made aware that they're going to be hit hard financially because of what they've been doing. I know it isn't really their fault (they've been helpful and it's more like Warriors of Innocence's fault), but they should be made aware that a lot of members are upset and thus they should have better protocols in place for the next time something like this happens.

It's a good idea. I was going to buy more paid time as my bday present to myself, but now I'm not too sure what to do.

I'm really uncertain that everything is better now. It seems too easy. I've seen too much online drama to believe in 'easy' solutions.

I'm still thinking about everything, trying to figure out what's going on. I'll probably post my thoughts later.

What I'm afraid of is that everyone in fandom (or many of us) quit supporting LJ in ALL forms, where does LJ get the money to keep the site running?
